In this Cheetah3D tutorial you will learn how to create a realistic chrome texture.
1. Create a new material
Starting with your object which you wish to make chrome, click on 'Add Material' in the materials pane at the bottom of the screen and select 'Material'.

2. Edit the properties of your material
Set the reflection intensity of your new material to 0.5 (more intensity = more reflective) and the reflection angle to 2.0 (more reflection angle = more blur on the reflection).

3. Set the scene
Add an HDRI to your scene (there are 2 sample files that come with Cheetah3D) and make sure you uncheck the background checkbox (this will stop the hdri appearing in your background).

4. Add your material to your object and render
Simple drag your material on to your object and hit the render button. Job done!
